PLEASE HELP WILSON
His story can be found at www.findwilson.blogspot.com.
Please take the time to read it and help this lab find his way home.
It has been a quite some time, and he needs the community to come to his aid.
Spread the word, and a flyer or two.

Meet Tyler
|
He came to us in need of medical attention. Tyler sat at a shelter with an open wound to his foot, in pain, wanting for a warm bed to sleep on (please move your mouse over Tyler to see the extent of his injury). He was a stray roaming for quite some time with injuries to his feet. Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond stepped in to give him a second chance. Testing positive for Lymes disease, intestinal worms and terribly infected ears, Tyler is still wagging his tail. He has the true spirit of the Labrador Retriever. As you can see, his rear foot is severely infected and will need surgery to remove a couple broken toes once the infection is gone. He was also born with one eye, which needs to be observed before surgery occurs to help him with that.
Update - August 6: Tyler is doing well. Over the last few weeks, his injury to his paw has been clearing up, and he is on his way for surgery soon. With good nutrition and care, his coat has turned into a healthy attribute. Tyler enjoys his foster home and his foster brother and sister, along with a cat too. He loves to run and play in the backyard, which is wonderful considering he still has a bad foot. This sweet personality will add joy to any home. We will update Tyler again after his surgeries are complete.
Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond is a non-profit (501)c3 organization dedicated to rescuing Labrador Retrievers in need. LRGR resources go towards vetting, not limited to Heartworm treatments, surgeries, cancer, spay/neuter, and as with Tyler, any other medical need that arises. Each year vet care costs increase, but the need never decreases. If you would like to donate to support the treatment of Tyler, please follow the link to Paypal. Your donation is tax deductible, but most importantly, appreciated. |

We have an urgent need for foster homes in the Greater Richmond area. Having more foster homes will allow us to save more Labs. The need is there; please consider volunteering as a foster. To learn what is involved in fostering, please visit our FAQ page.

Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond is a non-profit, all volunteer organization serving Richmond, Virginia and nearby counties. We rescue Labrador Retrievers and provide them with foster homes and veterinary care until they can be adopted into new, loving homes. Each one of our Labs is housed in a foster home, instead of in a kennel. We feel this is the best way to get to know the Labs we rescue. We are not affiliated with any other Lab Rescue.
Please keep in mind that there are many purebred Labs available in your local shelters so please visit them as well!
