Available DogsThese are a few of the dogs currently available through Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond. Please check our Petfinder site as well. New dogs are often posted there first. If you are interested in adopting a Lab from us, please submit a completed application. Please note that we only discuss details of our dogs with approved applicants. Please allow up to a few weeks to hear from us. (Could be longer around busy times of the year; holidays, etc.) Please be patient as we are all volunteers. Once we receive your completed application, one of our volunteer adoption coordinators will contact you for an interview and explain our process. If you are approved, the coordinator will work with you to match you with your new family member. Please keep in mind that we make every attempt to find the right home for each individual dog, taking into account their history, behaviors, etc. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. The adoption process requires an approved application, a contract and a non-refundable adoption fee of $250.00 for dogs up to 7 years of age and $200.00 for dogs 8 years old and over. Adoptions are contingent on the successful completion of a home visit either before or following the adoption. If you have questions about our process, please e-mail us or give us a call. Tyler (#8-020) This boy is approximately 5 years old. He was a stray with serious injuries. He loves to have his ears rubbed, wags his tail to all his new friends and rides well in the car. Tyler is fine around other dogs, and cats too. Right now we are nursing this lovely boy back to health. He has a serious foot injury with a severe infection, which he is being treated with medications for. Tyler will be on the mend for a number of weeks, with treatment continue throughout. He will need surgery on his foot once the infection is gone. His dedicated foster is caring for him, giving him lots of love and TLC. Despite his injury, he has alot of love to share. It turns out that he was only born with one eye, but gets around beautifully. Tyler only weighs 70 lbs, and needs gain another 15 lbs. Please check back for updates! Mattie (#8-019) 1 year old spayed chocolate female. Up to date on shots. Mattie is a friendly girl who is playful and gets along well with other dogs. This young girl knows "sit". She likes to go for walks, but she pulls on lead. As you can see, she is GORGEOUS, and sweet. Mattie loves car rides. Send in your application to bring Mattie into your world. |

Bailey (#8-007) A very sweet 9 month old spayed girl who is friendly and loving. She enjoys playing with other dogs and doesn't take issue with cats. Bailey enjoys being with children and behaves wonderfully around them. This sweet girl is housetrained and cratetrained. Bailey enjoys playing ball and chasing her Frisbee. When in the house, she will follow you around and be your best friend. Please fill out an application if you would like to be considered for Bailey. |

Gus (#8-018)This young boy has come to us asking for a new home. He's very affectionate and craves human attention. Gus gets along well with his foster sister who thinks play is meant to be 24/7. Gus has accepted his crate but time will let him know that it is his space. Coming up to you with wanting eyes, he sits and waits for a good rub. Gus will also give you his paw. He is a smaller boy, weighing in around 65 lbs. Check back for updates as we get to know this sweet boy. You may place an application and get the process started if you think you can offer Gus the life he deserves. |

Dillon (#8-017) 8 month old neutered black boy. He is a sweet, loving pup. Dillon is housetrained and has a desire to chase any cat that comes his way. He is young and energetic and needs some obedience training. Knowing sit, he will come right to you, sit and look up at you, as to say "Hi, I'm here" !! Dillon rides very nicely in the car, enjoys other dogs, and has a gentle mouth. He needs someone who has the time to devote to him. Recently Adopted Dogs
Willy (#8-016)8 month old yellow boy. Willy has a very soft coat and big feet. He weighs about 65lbs. Willy is fine with cats, is housetrained, and is a calm boy. He walks well on lead and looks to the human for direction.

Tucker (#8-014) 1 1/2 year old yellow male. Tucker enjoys other dogs and car rides. He likes to play with toys and hide them for later. This is an exhuberant boy who knows sit and come and has perfected the art of the lab lean. Tucker loves people and a good belly rub.

Oscar (#8-012) This big bear is 6 years old, neutered, and up to date on all shots. He is cratetrained, though he does fine without one. Oscar enjoys the company of other dogs, is doing fine around cats, and LOVES human attention. Beware, when he leans on you with all the love in his heart, it is alot to hold up. Sweet Oscar needs to lose weight and will be better off for it. He walks well on lead, enjoys riding in the car, and likes swimming.
